  • Done means done. Before writing any code, the AI pins down the scope and what “done” looks like. When it’s finished, it checks every item.

  • The right one, at the right time. When your request matches a skill’s topics, your AI gets a reminder to call it. Skills you only run by hand come with a nudge for you instead.

What leaves your machine Docs
Do I need to know how to code?

No. The dashboard explains every issue in plain language and gives you a ready-made command your AI can run to fix it.

Is it for solo builders, teams or agencies?

All of the above. Two co-founders is the most common setup, but Faundr works just as well if you’re building an internal tool on your own or shipping apps for clients. Client work ships with a security report and a clean project handoff.

What runs without AI?

The code map, protection, checkpoints, and the security, quality and design checks all run locally and use zero tokens. AI reviews and fixes use your own AI subscription, and only run when you ask.

Which AI tools does it support?

Claude Code and Codex. Faundr’s memory, checks and dashboard work the same in both. The status bar and mods are Claude Code only.

Which languages does it work with?

19 languages and frameworks today, from JavaScript, TypeScript and Python to Go, Rust, Java, Kotlin, C#, PHP, Flutter, C and C++. There’s nothing extra to install: Faundr uses your language’s own tools, like ruff or clippy, only if your project already has them. The docs show what each part covers in each language.

Can I use the skills I already have?

Yes. Faundr reads your repo’s skills, your personal ones and those from your plugins, and reminds your AI to use the right one. Skills that find problems, like a security audit or a TDD routine, send what they find to the Security, Quality, Tests or Errors section of your dashboard. Only each skill’s name and description leave your computer.

Does my code get sent to Faundr?

Checks run on your machine. The dashboard receives findings (with a short snippet and keys masked), the structure of your code map, and your session log. Your .env values never leave your computer.

Will my AI use more tokens?

Faundr loads your project memory at the start and adds a short reminder at the end of each reply. In return, the code map keeps your agent from opening files it doesn’t need. The Impact tab shows both sides of the math, session by session.

How much does it cost?

Nothing during the beta. After that, there’s a free plan for side projects, Duo at $29/month for two co-founders, and Team at $49/month for companies, with 3 builders included. You use your own AI subscription, so there are no credits.
